Do you need a good book for the weekend?

Want a book you can finish before Monday?

Well, below are two fun light-hearted books.

It’s been a great summer and I managed to squeeze in a few good books. Nothing better than curling up on a screened porch and kicking back with a tall glass of iced tea and reading a fun book.

Unless it’s curling up in front of a roaring fire, and of course, with a good book.

So, if you’re looking for characters to fall in love with, click on these links. Because you will adore Samuel Collins and his neighbors as four-year-old melt away his grumpy demeanor.

Both books are standalone, but I can assure you that you won’t be able to stop after book one.

Plus, both are now available in Kindle Unlimited!

Free 5 Star Thriller

It’s Friday Review Time

I downloaded Sara’s Game (The Sara Winthrop Thriller Series Book 1) by Ernie Lindsey last week and read it in one day. As the reviews promised this is a grab you and not let go thriller.

To enjoy this book all you must do is, sit back, and suspend belief for one lazy summer afternoon.

But, isn’t that just plain ole good fiction? I mean when was the last time you attended a Quiddich match at Texas Stadium?

Or fell in love with a vampire, or watched a drop dead spy hang from a helicopter as he killed the villain?

And one thing I think we can all agree on is that no Werewolf and human should mate.

So it shouldn’t be that hard to believe a mom would move heaven and earth, fight the devil himself, thwart the police and defeat a sociopath to save her three children.

Yes, good fiction can allow the reader suspend logic for a few hours and believe the unbelievable. And Mr. Lindsey did that for me.

Let’s face it, what could be more terrifying than a missing child?

Maybe three missing children and a missing husband… .

I enjoyed this fast, quick read and left the logical side of my brain at the door and went along for harrowing ride where for once the heroine defeats the psycho.

So if you’re looking for a book to read as you curl up pool side this Saturday download Sara’s Game while it’s FREE.

5 Star Nail Biter by CJ Lyons

Fight Dirty (Renegade Justice Novels) [Kindle Edition] by CJ Lyons

5 Stars from this reader! 5gold-star3

This book kept me up late into the night and the story gave me chills. A story of friendship, trust, betrayal, and manipulation. A young sociopath must fight her instincts to solve the death of a troubled teen. This is a fast-paced nail biter.

Read for Free, well sort of…

I love to get something free and although Kindle Unlimited is $9.99 monthly the number of books borrowed makes the membership a bargain.

I’ve read a lot of wonderful books by Indie and established writers. Of course, also a few not so wonderful but I’m not going to go there. When I download one not to my taste, I just return the book after a few pages. No harm no foul.

Kindle Unlimited is beneficial to readers and writers. Molly Greene, author and blogger gives a great break down on Kindle Unlimited payouts. Although she contends it’s not a lot of dough, I’m impressed and glad to know I’m contributing to the success of writers when I read for free. You can read her blog post here.

I also wanted to share some great reads I’ve found through Kindle Unlimited.

And I rated with 5 stars5gold-star3
