There is only so much time in each day. As writers, we need to stay current, not just in the writing world, but in everything else too. What is trending? Who is doing what? Elections, fads, fashion and family.

Ever read a book and felt like the author had you head-hopping? Before long keeping up with who’s doing what gives me a headache.
Now I understand why. Maybe hoping from one POV to another isn’t the problem with the story, maybe the book has a few POV-errors.
I have to be honest, this is something I didn’t understand. That is until reading this post.
When we make POV errors? It shatters the fictive dream. That is why getting really good at POV is vital. We must maintain the magic. Here’s the secret that a lot of writers don’t realize about POV.

Friday the 13th has always been a lucky day for our family, so I’m thrilled to announce Tryouts for Ben is now available at Amazon.com today!
Yes, Ben made it even with all my jumbling, fumbling and amateurish attempts to bring him into this world.
For some, writing and self-publishing a book, of any size, in paper and e-format is easy. They share instructions on how to self-publish in 3 easy steps or maybe 10. I read article after article, followed steps 1 through infinity and more times than not, ended up with a scrambled mess.
But I eventually got to the end. Even if I traveled terrain as rough as the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Seems as if I go about every project the hard way.
However, today is not for whiners. It’s a day of celebration!!
