Do you know how to use this media?

Okay, I’m gonna come clean.

Reddit totally baffles me!

For something so foreign it ranks as 11th most visited website!

How can that be? I don’t get it nor do I understand how to use this venue. Now I’ve tried, believe me. But Reddit is a daunting website. The crowd that visits is very different from say, Facebook or Pinterest. I’ve had readers on Reddit, tell me to get off and if you don’t post in the right place in the right way, Reddit dumps your post.

So how do we use this enigma?

Even after reading, reading, and clicking I still don’t get how to use Reddit effectively.

Have you posted on Reddit?

Do you understand how to use it effectively?

I’d love to know if you’ve conquered Reddit.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I’ve made a little video to explain the program I use for my tutorials.

A few readers have asked about my process.

My videos may not be Emmy-ready, but they get the job done, so here you go.

Did this help anyone?

To be a better writer, be a better reader

From the archives while I’m on holiday.

The weekend is here. Time to curl up with a good book. But do remember to leave a review when you’ve finished. Also, take the time and notice what you love or hate about the book.

Analyzing how we feel about a story can make us better writers!

Everything boils down to the characters.

I have a policy. No bad reviews. Why? Because I would no more tell a writer their book is flawed, than a new mother her baby is ugly. And I do not plan to give a bad review today. However, I learned…

What do you know about KDP Select?

Next week I will release my long-awaited new children’s picture book.

A Reluctant Little Prince gray-ebook

But here is my dilemma. I’ve never participated in KDP Select and I wonder if it will be helpful.

Have any of y’all used the Select program with any success?

Is it complicated to use?

Was it effective in selling your book?

I’m filled with questions and wanted to hear from all of you before I enroll.

Here are the rules as I understand:

  1. Sign up is for 90 days.
  2. I can’t sell or give electronic versions during the Select period. One exception, professional reviewers. There are two promotions available.
  3. The digital format of that book available exclusively through KDP while it’s enrolled in the program. That includes my website!
  4. It will also be included in Kindle Unlimited (KU) and the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library (KOLL).
    • As a member, I read a lot of books through KU.

So what say y’all?

What do you think about this program?
