And boy o boy, I need to start tweeting more.
Up until now, I’ve been so lame. That’s right, a lame tweeter. But not for long.
Why? I want to be good on social media and don’t want to do anything half-assed. Even tweeting.
This morning I was excited to read an email from Suzanne Bowditch on how to do just that, tweet like a pro.(click to tweet)
Suzanne gave five good tips on what to do to engage with others on Twitter. Here is what mined from her great post.
- People love freebies- so promote free products even if it’s not yours.
- Ask a question- yes but also answer questions with questions.
- Want retweets, ask for them true- but don’t forget to retweet others.
- Use the right hashtag- but don’t go hashtag crazy.
- Learn from other successful tweeters.
- Mine – Keep tweeting, don’t give up.
Now head over to Suzanne’s blog and read her post. I’d love to hear what you think.

I am very engaged on twitter and I have met a wonderful group of friend; we tweet about our everyday lives. I have met many writers, bloggers, foodies, travelers- anything I’m interested in. To me the real secret to Twitter is to act just like you would with real friends in real life. I even like the grown man in the big office’s tweets. Thanks Jean for another good post

So far, I am a terrible tweeter. Most of my tweets are promoting the blog posts of the people I follow. Question elude me whenever I think about tweeting. Frustrating, to say the least.

Sometimes I draw a blank too. But tweeter love when you retweet, so don’t stop. 🙂

Lately I’ve read so many tweets by grown men with a big office, acting like a five year old, I’m not sure it’s something I want to do. 🙂

I feel your pain. However, I use tweetdeck and filter the subjects I’m interested in. Makes it easier to focus on whats important, like writing. 🙂
