Well, below are two fun light-hearted books.

It’s been a great summer and I managed to squeeze in a few good books. Nothing better than curling up on a screened porch and kicking back with a tall glass of iced tea and reading a fun book.

 

Unless it’s curling up in front of a roaring fire, and of course, with a good book.

  1. I just finished reading the new William and Hester Monk mystery by Anne Perry. I marvel at Perry’s writing every time.
    I prefer hard copy and get books by well-established authors at the library. The books I buy are always by Indie authors or small presses — a deliberate action to support them. I usually buy hard copies, or request them as Christmas/birthday gifts from family when they ask what I’d like.

  2. I finished, Jules Verne’s, ‘Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea,’ recently and have decided to read, ‘Great Expectations’, I started it a while ago, but got sidetracked and finished two novels, ‘Huck Finn’s America,’ and, Azar Nafisi’s, book, ‘The Republic Of Imagination.’

  3. I do read a lot of ebooks, but prefer the real deal. Right now, we’re introducing our kids to Lord of the Rings – so, yeah. Not very original of a recommendation, but you can never go wrong with it (unless you’re not a fantasy fan).

    Definitely hard copy books. I buy e-books frequently and have read quite a few on an e-reader, but I increasingly prefer paper books. E-books can be bought instantly, can be searched for content (very useful), and are easy to travel with in multiples. But hard copies feel good and will never disappear unless you burn ’em.

    1. Very good points about books. The fireplace photo is from Pixabay.com, wish my photos came out as nice. I love my Kindle because if I read hard backs my house would be filled corner to corner with books.
