Do you want to learn the next big thing in writing?

It’s not very hard to make your own podcast.

But still not sure about dipping my toe in the waters of Podcast.

What about you?

Well, to make your decision easier, last week I posted a list of places where you could submit your podcast.

So I thought it might be a good time to help with a little DIY.

What do you think?

Are you ready to give it a try?

There are lots of programs out there give it a Google.

What did you find?

Leave me a comment. I love talking to Y’all.

Please stop by and say “hey!”  I’ll leave a light on.

  1. Thanks for posting.

    I have a few questions;

I have a collection of 50 videos which I would like to turn into podcasts (I had planned to do that all along, so I do have good audio, I hope, for that purpose) from my youtube/google show, “*CHANGES* Conversations Between Authors.” I have waited to find out if/whether I could do this for free (when I started, in 2014, it seemed one had to pay to have one’s podcasts listed anywhere by paying some server site to “host” them). I didn’t hear anything in this DIY about paying for hosting:
    1) Is having one’s podcasts “hosted” by an outside entity before uploading it/them to a directory, such as iTunes, no longer necessary and/or free in 2017? Please advise.

    2) Do you have a podcast that explains how to convert a video file into an audio-only file? Is Audacity still the best software for that?

Also, I didn’t understand the XML part.
    3) Do you have a podcast just for creating the associated files and for how to do the adding to/adhering to one’s original audio file?

    Thanks so much!

    Best to you,

    Sally

    1. Sally, wish I knew the answer to all of your questions. This is a very new process for me. So I’m still learning. If I figure out more I’ll post. If you figure it out first, do share.
