One of my notebooks in my OneNote is titled “Post Ideas”. Whenever I’m surfing through the blogs I’m subscribed to, I have my OneNote available on my lower taskbar to pull up and jot down any ideas that pop into my head for future posts while I read the going-ons of my online writing friends.

I can relate to it on some level. I face no difficulty in gathering up the ideas but laziness looks me in the eye and forces me to procrastinate. Sigh. Life!! 🙂

Yeah, I get the same way. Sometimes I spend too much time reading Tweets and Posts rather than writing.

I teach my writing students that the ‘ordinary’ things in life are usually the most extraordinary things to write about. Thus, when I write a weekly post for my blog, I just use the spice of an ordinary event that happened that week, and sprinkle it on the page. We can’t possibly run out of things to blog about then. Oh, gotta go, I just saw a squirrel outside my bird feeder, seemingly conversing with the cardinal about the wave of blackbirds that took over the feeder yesterday…

Love it! Sounds like they might want to build a wall. I’d keep my eyes on that squirrel.

Good point, I like to share posts too. Especially by writers who say what I want to say but much better.

A lot depends on the website template you choose. You might want to play around with different ones and see if it gives you the look you want.
