My next children’s picture book is almost ready.
Designing a book cover is not an easy process. But, there are bunches of programs out there to help you. Below I’ve designed four different covers and need some input.
Which one do you like best?
Please help me out—
Select the by color, and please tell me which one you like best.
Have any suggestions? Let me know in the comment section.

I was torn between the blue and the grey, but chose grey because of more detail in the photo. 🙂

Thanks, I was too. Think I’m going gray. At least for today. LOL

Hi Jean, I picked the red background. It looks more uniform to me and draws your attention to the Little Prince where it should be.. For me, the grey was too busy and the added castle distracts from the Little Prince. Thanks for the fun!

Thanks Mary Lou, I appreciate you taking the time to vote. I see what you mean about the grey.

I chose the gray one because of the details in the background. I think this addition will spark interest in the children.

Thanks for your thoughts. I like that one too because it is neutral

Thanks, I worried it might look too Holiday-ish.

I like the green, it’s a strong contrast to the red of the text and the throne. And I prefer the larger throne, compared to the blue one. Good luck!

Until you mentioned it, I wouldn’t have thought it. But that may be cultural differences, although in the UK we do use red and green together for Christmas.

Kids seem to like strong contrasting colours, so I voted for the Blue, but would recommend you increase the size of the throne and boy as done for the other covers, OR, increase the throne size only, to show the boy being small on it 😀

I think the green adds to the mood of the boys face. 😊

Jean, I have voted grey but I think it is because I prefer the ‘stippled’ look to the background rather than flat colour. I think that affect might work equally well with the blue or green. I also like your name the way it appears on the grey and the larger font size for the title though I think I prefer the actual font you have used on the first three!
I hope this is useful rather than just confusing!

Thanks! I’ll try that effect with the colors.
