Do you feel lost and unsure what to do next?

Happens to me every time I finish a big project!

Like the  A-Z Challenge that just wrapped up on April 30th.

Nothing to do but wait as I sit biting my nails and waiting for my proof from IngramSpark.  I hate waiting. Now, I know what you’re gonna say– start something new and start it fast. But, I’m tired. Aren’t you?

Reading blogs, commenting, posting, writing and pushing toward a deadline is exhausting. Part of me wants to open a carton of ice cream, turn on NetFlix and veg.

But no rest for the wicked. So, here I am typing away and trying to motivate myself to move forward on another project.

What are you going to start now that the  A-Z Challenge has ended?

Back to blogging or have you started a new manuscript?

I’d love to hear about your latest WIP, do tell!

If you’re going to be in my neck of North Texas, be sure, stop by the Sachse Library and say hello at the Author Con on May 21st.

  1. Wonderful to hear from you Jean, truly understand what you mean Jean, however if you’re not sure what to do next enjoy the little break and enjoy that ice cream (in moderation of course). There’s nothing wrong with not writing for a day unless it’s your personal diary.
I would certainly encourage you with blogging, it allows us an insight behind the author and your daily posts sometimes encourage and give us tips on reflecting upon our own writing skills.

I recently wrote a short poem called scars, it was a challenge which I took part in and now I’m just waiting for inspiration what to write on next. I have my own daily post challenge so thinking caps are on for me.

Enjoy your day Jean and keep doing what you’re good at 👍

  2. Umm, I was thinking I would work on one of the two books I have presently started. It’s working title is “Magpies in the Eucalyptus” but I suspect that will change. It is about a trio of Australian boarding school girls that together travel through time in their dreams. Sounds kind of new agey, I know, we will see where it goes. But first, I think I will spend the next couple of days, do nothing, but working and laundry and cooking dinner and gardening, blah – I get tired just thinking about it all.
